Electronic Records and Signatures Disclosure

Last updated: 2026-09-25 · v2026-09-25

Your contractor uses FenceFlow, software operated by Idea Engine LLC, to send you estimates and contracts that you can review and sign online. Before you sign electronically, federal law (the ESIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. § 7001) and Wisconsin's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Wis. Stat. ch. 137) require that you receive this information and agree to it.

What this consent covers

If you agree, the estimate, the contract terms, any notices that are part of it (for example a lien notice or a notice of your right to cancel), and your signed copy will be provided to you electronically — on the signing page, as PDF files, and by email — for this estimate only.

Your right to a paper copy

You may ask your contractor for a paper copy of any of these documents at any time, at no charge. You do not have to sign electronically: if you prefer paper, contact your contractor and do not sign online.

Withdrawing your consent

You can withdraw your consent to electronic records at any time by telling your contractor in writing. Withdrawing consent does not undo a signature you already gave electronically, and there is no fee for withdrawing.

What you need

A device with a current web browser, an internet connection, an email address, and software that can open and save PDF files (built into most phones, tablets and computers). By agreeing you confirm you can open the PDF on the signing page.

What we record when you sign

Your typed name, the date and time, your IP address, your browser's user agent, the fact that you agreed to this disclosure, and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the document you signed. This record is kept with the signed estimate so it can be verified later.

Keeping a copy

After you sign you can download your signed PDF, and a copy is emailed to you. Save or print it for your records.

Updating your email address

Tell your contractor if your email address changes so you keep receiving documents about your project.
